<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hinge unit and a motion lock for tandemly coupled upper and lower rotation function units. <P>SOLUTION: This lock comprises a lower rotation function unit that can be disposed between a horizontal position and a non-horizontal position, and an upper rotation function unit that can be disposed between the horizontal position and the non-horizontal position. Further, the lock comprises a hinge assembly for coupling the upper rotation function unit to the lower rotation function unit and rotating the upper rotation function unit at least relative to the lower rotation function unit, and at least one motion lock to be engaged to suppress the motion of the upper rotation function unit relative to the lower rotation function unit while the lower rotation function unit is located at a second non-horizontal position, or to be disengaged while the lower rotation function unit is disposed at a first substantially horizontal position. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
