<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive splitter, for example, for a 19 inch rack that, is compact, easy to handle and simple to maintain, and that facilitates increase in the number of optical branchings. <P>SOLUTION: The optical splitter is equipped with: a first optical branching module 10 that performs optical distribution of eight or more branchings; a main body frame 11 that has a storage space for storing at least one second optical branching module performing optical distribution of two or more branchings; a second optical branching module 12 attachable to and detachable from the main body frame 11; and a means 16 for connecting the output section of the first optical branching module and the input section of the second optical branching module. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
