PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image data processing method in which an image memory of storage memory of comparatively low capacity according to a required data amount is used as output image data irrespective of the data amount (data size) of input image data. SOLUTION: In this image processing method, the output image data with a predetermined data amount are generated by performing first and second image processing on the input image data. One memory area is logically divided into a first memory region 61 and a second memory region 62 by managing an address used as a dividing point. Image data on which the first image processing is performed are written in the first memory region 61, the image data written in the first memory region 61 are read, the second image processing is performed on it and the image data on which the second image processing is performed are written in the second memory region 62.
