PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that the influence of noise generated at the time of emitting light in a stroboscopic device is easily received when image data stored in the internal memory of an imaging apparatus are written in a recording medium which is connected via an interface. SOLUTION: When it is determined that the light is emitted in the stroboscopic device 19, a recording prohibition flag is turned on without setting the off of the recording prohibition flag till a prescribed time for the completion of the light emission by the stroboscopic device 19 elapses, so that the image data in the incorporated memory 15 of the camera are not written in the recording medium 18. Consequently, the image data are prevented from being affected by the noise accompanying the light emission of the stroboscopic device 19 on the communication path of the incorporated memory 15 and the recording medium 18.
