PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device capable of preventing or reducing dragging of a brake on a driving wheel or a main driving wheel. SOLUTION: This brake control device of a vehicle to control braking force given to a wheel of the vehicle having a motive power source is furnished with a moving force computing means (steps S2, S3) to compute moving force to move the vehicle working on the vehicle, a driving force computing means (steps S9, S21) to compute driving force transmitted to the wheel from the motive power source so as to move the vehicle in the opposite direction of the vehicle by the moving force and a braking force controlling means (steps S7 to S9, S21) to make braking force of the wheel the driving force of which is small larger than the braking force of the wheel the driving force of which is large in the case when the driving force computed by the driving force computing means is smaller than the moving force computed by the moving force computing means in starting the vehicle by the driving force.
