Cover for spring grooves has covering plate (A) to protect work area (W). The plate has a catch device and is clamped into place using said catch device. The catch is embodied as a spring (K) made of flexible material. This catch spring has clamping slats (KL) made of elastomer and consists of two clamping braces which hold the spring in the groove (N). The cover for the spring grooves is made entirely of elastomer and has a handle (G) and an area which can carry advertising.
