PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical device taking an image smoothly, while avoiding a large image blurrs, even when a focusing decision is not obtained when photographing is carried out multiple number of times, such as in the case of divided photographing. SOLUTION: The optical device comprises: a control means 113 that performs a focus control for driving a focus lens 105, based on a signal (112) showing the focusing state; and a storage means 113a for storing the position of the focus lens, where a focused state has been obtained by a focus control at first photographing. The control means drives the focus lens according to the position stored in the storage means, when it is determined that a focused state is not obtained by the focus control at second photographing.
