PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device preventing the problem of hot offsets, dew condensation, etc. by a peeling means of a fixing device, on the downstream side of a recording paper feeding direction. SOLUTION: The image forming device comprises: a detection means for detecting the temperature of the peeling means; and a cooling means for cooling the face of the peeling means opposite to the side which comes, in contact with the recording medium. According to the result of the detection by the detection means, the peeling means is cooled by the cooling means, when the temperature of the peeling means exceeds a first stipulated value.
