PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for removing water from a solid at a temperature near normal temperature and more efficiently. SOLUTION: Dehydration of the solid containing water is carried out by bringing a liquid L into contact with the solid containing water and making water contained in the solid dissolve in the liquid L. Water is separated from a mixed liquid of the liquid L and water after dehydration by a separation membrane 4 for selectively permeating only water, and the liquid L after water is separated is recovered to be again used for separating water from the solid containing water. And, the liquid L, a feeding pump 1 for feeding out the liquid, a dehydration apparatus 2 and a separator 3 packed with a water-selective separation membrane 4 are serially connected and this separator 3 is connected with the feeding pump 1 to form a circuit, and the liquid L is circulated through the circuit.
