PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily measure the depth of snowfall, the thickness of volcanic ash, the thickness of earth and stone, or the like. SOLUTION: A pole 14 is set up on a flat, disc-shaped base plate 12. A braided hat 16 is put on the top of the pole 14.
