PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high-input and high-output electric air blower secured of a long lifetime, by lowering the temperature of a carbon brush by effectively dissipating the heat of the carbon brush and cooling it with cooling wind. SOLUTION: The electric air blower is constituted, such that a deformed pipe 17 is constituted of a rectangular brush sliding holder 17a that slidably holds the carbon brush 15 contained in a holder assembly 8 that holds the contained carbon brush 15, and a sprig sliding part 17b that extends to the end face of a commutator, overhanging to the external peripheral side of the brush sliding holder 17b, in which a spring 16 that makes the carbon brush 15 press-contact with the commutator 11 slides; and a part of the spring sliding part 17b at the main passage side of the cooling wind 20, generated by a rotating fan, is notched.
