PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a socket for an electrical component having its fall-off stopping function. SOLUTION: In the socket for the electrical component having a box-shaped housing 1 opened upward to which the electrical component 50 is attached, the housing 1 is provided with a plurality of fall-off prevention members 20 on a side wall 2, and the fall-off member 20 has a fixed part 21 mountable from downward to the side wall 2 of the housing 1, and has engaging nails 22 engaged respectively with engaged parts 55 formed on the upper part of the fixed part 21 at a side face 51 of the electrical parts 50 in a plurality of numbers.
