Process for the preparation of porous copolyesteramides powders and the powders therefrom

Production of copolyesteramides in powder form comprises anionic copolymerization of a lactam and a lactone in a medium that is a solvent for the lactam and a nonsolvent for the copolyesteramide. An Independent claim is also included for copolyesteramide powders that are based on 1-98 mol.% of a first lactam, 1-98 mol.% of a second lactam and 1-98 mol.% of a lactone. The powders have a particle diameter of 1-200 mu m and a surface area of 1-25 m<2>/g.
