<p>PURPOSE: A new method for activating zinc metal usefully used in synthesis of organic compound is provided. CONSTITUTION: The activation method of zinc metal is characterized in that the zinc metal is activated by adding a catalytic amount of organic acids or derivatives thereof to zinc metal in reaction solvents, wherein the solvents are one or more of solvents selected from tetrahydrofuran, benzene, toluene and ether, wherein the activation is performed at a temperature of 20 to 120 deg.C, wherein the organic acids or derivatives thereof are one or more selected from the group consisting of RCO2H, RSO3H, RCO2TMS, RSO3TMS and (RSO3)2NH, where R is hydrogen, saturated or unsaturated alkyl having 1 to 6 carbon atoms substituted or non-substituted by halogen, or aryl having 6 to 12 carbon atoms substituted or non-substituted by halogen, wherein the organic acids or derivatives thereof are 0.001 to 0.2 mol.% of the zinc metal, and wherein the zinc metal is formed in dust or powder form.</p> |
