The system has a flight management system for calculating an estimated flight path (12) for an aircraft (14) and for determining an estimated value of a flight parameter e.g. altitude and speed, corresponding to an estimated speed for extension of high-lift devices of the aircraft. A primary flight display displays the flight line, and a navigation display displays symbols (18, 20) relative to the estimated value of the parameter.
