A fitting for a window or a door is disclosed on which a closing journal (1) with a locking projection (5) is provided. The closing journal (1) forms, via the locking projection (5), an undercut (8) that should engage under the undercut area of a detent engagement. In order to simplify the production of the closing journal (1), the closing journal (1) should be comprised of a T-shaped head (20) and of a fastening base (21), which are welded to one another at a joining point (24). A method for producing a closing journal (1) is also disclosed. |
