PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hot plate for roasting meat with an inexpensive manufacturing cost allowing confirmation of flames of a gas burner in a comfortable position. SOLUTION: A griddle 2 is fit in a top face of a hot plate body 1, and the gas burner 3 is housed in an interior of the hot plate body 1. Outlets 4a and 4b communicating the interior of the hot plate body 1 with the outside are provided on both sides of the griddle 2. The combustion confirming tool 5 is detachably fit in a center portion of the outlet 4a. A rectangular opening 5b is provided in a lower part of a longitudinal side face 5a of the combustion confirming tool 5, and a lower part of a side face 5c facing the side face 5a is bent in a direction approaching the side face 5a.
