PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enlarge an effective volume of a reserving or intermediate process tank, to make the whole provision small in size and to reduce a building cost as to a powder and granular material discharge device which evenly flows down only by gravity a powder and granular material in the tank for performing reserving or for indirect cooling or heating by a pipe, etc. SOLUTION: This powder and granular material discharge device has a discharge tank connected at the lower part of a reservoir. The bottom of the discharge tank is provided with a discharge opening whose area is smaller than the horizontal cross sectional area of the reservoir for the powder and granular material to flow down by gravity. The angleαfrom the horizontal direction of the side wall face of the discharge tank is larger than the angleβfrom the horizontal direction of the slide plane of the powder body formed in the inside of the powder and granular material.
