A lighting arrangement has a light-box (13) which can be inserted into an edge-side recess (12). The recess extends nearly over the entire width of the cabinet plate and at the two opposite facing edges of the recess (12) has ribs (16) for a slot-spring-joint between the edges of the recess and the edges of the light box (13).
