摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily and reliably perform radiation of heat generated from a tubular light source while avoiding a problem of electromagnetic wave noise in a surface light source device provided with the tubular light source or a liquid crystal display using the same. <P>SOLUTION: A metal heat radiation plate 1 superposed on a lamp reflector 32 and performing heat radiation is disposed on the rear surface of a light guide plate 35. A region 11 superposed on a driving circuit substrate 5 is excluded from the metal heat radiation plate 1 and the edge of the metal heat radiation plate 1 is separated from the edge of the driving circuit substrate 5 on a side far from the tubular light source.
