PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sintered ore manufacturing device and its manufacturing method capable of improving a yield ratio in manufacturing the sintered ore by preventing the generation of unbaked portion on a sintered material caused by defective ignition in manufacturing the sintered ore. SOLUTION: This device for manufacturing the sintered ore by igniting a surface of a sintered material layer 1 formed by packing the sintered material on a sintering pallet, and baking the sintered material layer, comprises an ignition furnace 2 for igniting the surface of the sintered material layer, a thermometer 3 mounted at a downstream side of the ignition furnace for measuring the distribution of temperature in the sintering pallet width direction of the sintered material layer surface, an auxiliary burner 4 mounted at a downstream side of the thermometer movably in the sintering pallet width direction, and a calculator 5 for controlling a moving position of the auxiliary burner on the basis of the distribution of temperature. A slit-type burner is preferably mounted on the ignition furnace for jetting flame from a nozzle having a rectangular opening portion in the width direction of the sintered material layer.
