PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To heighten the degree of freedom in altering the reaction force characteristic to an actuating amount of an accelerator pedal. SOLUTION: A pedal reaction force control device 10 includes: an accelerator pedal 12; a cam 14 rotated with the accelerator pedal 12; a reaction force adjusting member 16 having a cam profile 15 where the cam 14 is brought into sliding contact with; a coiled spring 18 for pressing the reaction force adjusting member 16 to the cam 14; a return spring 20 for returning the accelerator pedal 12 to the initial position; and a motor 26 for applying reaction force to a support member 22 abutting on the other end of the coiled spring 18 through a decelerator 24. The cam profile 15 is formed as a parabolic curved surface, so that the sliding contact position with the cam 14 is varied with the rotating operation. Thus, while the cam 14 is turned depending on the turning position of the accelerator pedal 12, the sliding contact position to the cam profile 15 is varied to vary the reaction force applied to the same 14.
