<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently perform optimizations of a control factor concerning image compression processing, and to improve an accuracy in the optimizations of the control factor. <P>SOLUTION: A plurality of control factors concerning image compression processing and a plurality of levels per control factor are set, and the control factors set and the levels are assigned on an orthogonal table of Taguchi method (step S1). The image compression processing is performed to each image of an image group which becomes a compression object per combination of a control factor based on the orthogonal table (step S2), and an evaluation value of an image compressed is calculated (step S3). An SN ratio is calculated based on the calculated evaluation value (step S4). Based on the SN ratio calculated per combination of the control factors based on the orthogonal table, a factor efficiency diagram is prepared, and an optimum condition is derived from levels per control factor (step S5). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
