PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the width of a non-display region formed at the peripheral part of a PDP. SOLUTION: A sealing layer 18 in which the front face glass substrate 10 and the rear face glass substrate 13 are mutually pasted, and which seals a discharge space S, and a barrier rib 5 that sections the discharge space S for every discharge cell C are provided. The sealing layer 18 has a frame part 18A formed in a frame shape to surround the circumference of the display region E11 by being positioned in the non-display region E12 of the discharge space S, and a lateral wall part 18B positioned between discharge cells C sectioned by the barrier rib 15 in the display region E11.
