PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic compound-adsorbing/decomposing agent capable of exhibiting satisfactory performance when a gas containing at least one or more gaseous organic compounds selected from aldehydes, carbonic acids and amines is removed at low temperature over a long period of time. SOLUTION: This organic compound-adsorbing/removing agent for removing the gas containing at least one or more gaseous organic compounds selected from aldehydes, carbonic acids and amines is iron oxide having≥100 m<SP>2</SP>/g BET specific surface area.
