PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress variance in conduction resistance between a slider and a suspension. SOLUTION: The slider has a substrate 41 and a thin-film magnetic head 35 stacked on the substrate 41. A resistance element 71 is formed in the slider, and the resistance element 71 has one end electrically connected to the substrate 41 through a 1st conductor 72a and the other end electrically connected to a stack-directionally upper external surface portion 56 of the slider through a 2nd conductor 72b.
