PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To restrain the quantity of water cooled in an exhaust heat recovery stop mode of an exhaust heat recovery device. SOLUTION: The exhaust heat recovery device 10 is provided with an exhaust gas passage part where exhaust gas of an engine 1 flows and a passage passage where cooling water of the engine 1 flows, a water tank 13 gas-liquid separating between the air and the cooling water is disposed on the downstream side of the water passage of the exhaust heat recovery device 10. In an exhaust heat recovery stop mode, the cooling water in the water passage part of the exhaust heat recovery device 10 is transferred to the interior of the water tank 13 to substitute the interior of the water passage with the air atmosphere. On the other hand, in an exhaust heat recovery mode, the air in the water passage of the exhaust heat recovery device 10 is extracted to the water tank 13 side to return the cooling water into the water passage.
