<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus mounted with a storage device capable of storing a large amount of image data such that the stored data are not deleted and prevented from being abused. <P>SOLUTION: When one user generates image data by operating an operation section 102, user individual information specifying a permitted user etc., who is permitted to access the image data is set at the same time. The user individual information is stored in an authority storage section 710 of a printer 20 and the image data are stored in a data storage section 702. Then when some user accesses the image data stored in the image data storage section 702, a user management section 711 refers to the authority storage section 710 and a user registration section 712 to decide whether the accessing user is the permitted user.
