<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hardly decomposable substances-containing water treatment method which can be applied to water containing reducing substances, such as bisulfites, neutralizing free chlorine, and can efficiently detoxify hardly decomposable substances at a low cost without limitation of the properties of contained hardly decomposable substances when detoxifying the hardly decomposable substances, such as dioxins, contained in polluted water (raw water to be treated). <P>SOLUTION: The hardly decomposable substances-containing water treatment method comprises (B) the process of adding an adsorbent to the hardly decomposable substances-containing water (raw water to be treated) to adsorb the hardly decomposable substances on the adsorbent (an adsorption process), (C) the process of separating the adsorbent on which the hardly decomposable substances have been adsorbed by using a filtration membrane to obtain water in which the adsorbent on which the hardly decomposable substances have been adsorbed is concentrated (a membrane filtration process), and (D) the process of chemically decomposing the hardly decomposable substances adsorbed on the separated adsorbent by bringing them into contact with a peroxide, without carrying out operation of desorbing the hardly decomposable substances from the adsorbent (a chemical decomposition process). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
