PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fiber processing agent composition capable of decreasing a loss of a processing agent in a spinning process of a synthetic fiber, by preventing the processing agent from being scattered or dropped from a yarn thread of the fiber, and capable of realizing improvement of a work environment and prolongation of a cleaning period. SOLUTION: This fiber processing agent composition contains a poly(N,N-dialkylacrylamide) and/or a copolymer thereof and a polyhydric alcohol and/or a derivative thereof. The composition preferably comprises an emulsion-type fiber processing agent. A method for producing the synthetic fiber comprises furnishing the fiber with the emulsion-type fiber processing agent in the process for conducting melt spinning of the fiber at a spinning speed of≥1,000 m/min.
