<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle control device for preventing malfunction of on-vehicle equipment operated based on a detection result of a vehicle or the circumferential state of the vehicle. <P>SOLUTION: Current position information of the vehicle is acquired from a navigation system, and it is determined whether or not the current vehicle position corresponds to a position of vehicle causing malfunction of the on-vehicle equipment (e.g., safety device) operated based on the detection result of the vehicle or the circumferential state of the vehicle. When the correspondence is determined, a malfunction preventive measure for suppressing the operation of the on-vehicle equipment is executed.
