DETECTION CELL ARRAY PLATE, ANALYZER, AND SAMPLE PREPARATION METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a detection cell used as one component of a photo biosensor. SOLUTION: The detection cell 2 is constituted so that it includes a transparent base plate 8 and a sample plate 4 on it. The sample plate has a matrix of a plurality of wells 6 extending to the inside, and samples are stored at each well. The base plate includes a thin-film waveguide and a diffraction grating means, combines the region of incident light, by entering the thin-film waveguide at the lower portion of the well and generates a region of diffracted light, thus detecting changes in the effective refractive index in the thin-film waveguide.
