PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a die cushion device which can smoothly lower a die cushion pad, and can achieve a highly precise press forming operation. SOLUTION: The die cushion pad 13 is divided into four small pads 15 and one large pad 16. As a result, the loads applied to the load application points of the respective small pads 15 can be equalized by means of the large pad 16, and also can eliminate the overturning moments caused between the load application points and the reaction force points, which are the centers of the small pads 15, and the deflection of the small pads 15 can be suppressed. As a result, because the deflection, etc. of cushion pins can be suppressed, there is no fear of causing the rubbing, etc. between the through-holes of the bolster and the cushion pins, and the elevating motion can be smoothly performed.
