TARGET OBJECT DETECTION APPARATUS AND ROBOT PROVIDED WITH THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a target object detection apparatus and a robot provided with the apparatus precisely detecting the target object. SOLUTION: The target object detection apparatus identifies the target object by using at least a camera and a RFID tag provided on the target object which exists outside. The target object detection apparatus is equipped with: a target detection part 70 for reading an identification number stored in the RFID tag; a face recognition part 11c extracting face image information of the target object imaged by the camera; a face identification part 43 which identifies the imaged target object by comparing the face image data recognized by the face recognition part 11c with the specific face image data of the target object; and an object data integration part 45 for determining the identification number of the target object on the basis of the personal identification number identified by at least the face identification part 43 and the identification number read by the target detection part 70.
