<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve a Doppler calculation device for determining a relative speed to a target object and approach/departure by an IQ detection method in a small scale so that the Doppler calculation device is capable of processing speedily. <P>SOLUTION: A Doppler calculation means 11 calculates Doppler effect from the amount of change in a vector rotational angle determined by I-channel and Q-channel signals obtained by performing the IQ detection of a reception signal from the target object. In this case, a periodical change in a pair of codes for indicating plus and minus polarities (+, -) of the I-channel and Q-channel signals is detected.
