<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing an optically uniform cycloolefin film having no die line by extrusion. <P>SOLUTION: The method for producing the cycloolefin film satisfies the following conditions: (1) a touch roll 5 has an outer cylinder 7 made of an elastically deformable endless metal belt and an elastically deformable elastomer roll 6 set in the outer cylinder, and the space between the outer cylinder and the elastomer roll is filled with a temperature controlling medium, (2) only the middle of the molten polycycloolefin polimer 9 extruded in the shape of a sheet is pressed by using a touch roll 5 having a width narrower than that of the molten polymer polymer 9, (3) the distance between a casting roll 4 and the touch roll 5 pressing the molten polymer between them is 3-30 mm, and (4) the surface temperature of the touch roll is between 40°C and (Tg-20)°C. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
