<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mechanism for adjusting a guide bar of a chain saw by an adjustment pin and/or an adjustment screw, capable of preventing damage to the adjustment pin and/or the adjustment screw. <P>SOLUTION: A bar adjustment assembly 10 of the chain saw is equipped with the adjustment screw 12, the adjustment pin 14 which is axially supported so as to be rotated on the adjustment screw, and a pin alignment spring 16 which biases the pin toward an engagement position. The assembly has a void for receiving the pin, therefore the pin is rotated so as to be escaped from the engagement position, when the guide bar in not correctly attached thereto. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
