<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable to uniformalize emission luminance over almost the whole surface of a phosphor film. <P>SOLUTION: The light source is provided with an anode 12 with a phosphor film 14, a field-emission cathode arranged in opposition to the anode 12, and a grid 18 intercalated between the anode 12 and the cathode 16.
