PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nondestructive inspection method for a structure allowing measurement in a short time without being affected by an external environment using an infrared thermography, and a device therefor. SOLUTION: In this nondestructive inspection method for the surface-protected structure, a surface temperature distribution of the structure is measured by the infrared thermography, in the surface protected structure formed by spraying concrete or mortar onto a slope face, a slant face, a lining face or a tunnel lining face, a change with the lapse of time of an obtained thermal image is analyzed to estimate a situation in the back of the structure or soundness of the structure. In the method, the surface temperature distribution of the structure is measured while supplying a coolant or a heating medium in the back of the structure. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
