PREPARATION METHOD FOR SAMPLE FOR MALDI MASS SPECTROMETRY, AND REAGENT COMPOSITION THEREFOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a simple and efficient sample preparation method capable of restraining ion suppression due to an impurity such as an inorganic salt and a surfactant existing in a sample, in measurement by a matrix-assisted laser desorption ionization mass spectrometry (MALDI-MS). SOLUTION: An analyte and a matrix molecule are cocrystallized under the presence of a porous fine particle. The cocrystallization is preferably carried out by bringing the analyte, the matrix molecule and the porous fine particle into contact, on a target plate, and by drying a mixture provided therein. The porous fine particle is an ion exchanger having an average particle size of 50μm in the maximum, and is preferably a strong basic anion ion exchanger. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
