PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reproducing apparatus with a simple configuration capable of efficiently executing superimposition between video data and graphics data. SOLUTION: A GPU 120 generates graphics data for forming a first screen image, and outputs the graphics data synchronously with a vertical synchronizing signal and a pixel clock signal. A video decoder 25 generates video data forming a second screen image, and outputs the video data synchronously with the same vertical synchronizing signal and pixel clock signal as the vertical synchronizing signal and the pixel clock signal used by the GPU 120. A blend processing section 30 executes blend processing for superimposing the graphics data outputted from the GPU 130 and the video data outputted from the video decoder 25.
