PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reproducing apparatus capable of flexibly coping with specification changes or the like. SOLUTION: A demultiplexer (Demux) section 103 applies demultiplexing processing to a moving picture stream including: graphics data having main video data, main audio data, and sub video data; and sub audio data. Further, decoders 104 to 107 execute decode processing for the sub video data and the sub audio data or the like obtained through the demultiplexing processing. The decode processing applied to graphics and the sub audio in addition to the demultiplexing processing corresponding to a processing at a pre-stage at reproduction in this way can be realized by a player application 15 being software.
