PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a folding container whose upper divided sidewalls and lower divided sidewalls have almost square recessions formed on inner surfaces of the divided sidewalls to lessen contact areas between flip-up sidewalls and the upper/lower divided sidewalls upon assembling or folding the container, so that scuff formation in the most of the central part of the container is prevented when the upper/lower divided sidewalls are made of transparent or translucent synthetic resins to make the central part important for seeing an article stored in the container from the outside through the divided sidewalls. SOLUTION: The folding container is composed of an upper frame 1, a bottom 2, the flip-up sidewalls 3 whose upper ends are pivoted on the upper frame 1, and the divided sidewalls 4 composed of the upper divided sidewall 4a and the lower divided sidewall 4b. The upper/lower divided sidewalls 4a and 4b have the almost square recessions 6 and 8 formed on their inner surfaces, respectively. This lessens the contact areas between the flip-up sidewalls 3 and the upper/lower divided sidewalls 6 and 8 upon assembling or folding the container, so that scuff formation in the most of the central part of the container is prevented when the upper/lower divided sidewalls 4a and 4b are made of transparent or translucent synthetic resins to make the central part important for seeing an article stored in the container from the outside through the divided sidewalls 4a and 4b.
