INFORMATION RECORDING MEDIUM, AND DEVICE AND METHOD FOR RECORDING INFORMATION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform efficient trial writing and to efficiently record information with respect to each recording layer of a multilayered information recording medium.

SOLUTION: The disk-shaped information recording medium is provided with a first recording layer (L0 layer) having (I) a first test writing area (101P-1) for writing first test writing information used for laser beam calibration on trial along a first track path (TP1) directed from an inner peripheral side to an outer peripheral side, and (II) a first recording area for recording first recording information along the first track path (TP1) in this order from the inner peripheral side. The medium is further provided with a second recording layer (L1 layer) having (I) a second test writing area (101P-2) for writing second test writing information for laser beam calibration on trial along a second track path (TP2) directed from the outer peripheral side to the inner peripheral side, and (II) a second recording area for recording second recording information along the second track path (TP2) in this order from the inner peripheral side.
