<p>A building undergoing renovation or partial demolition has an external chute for removal of building materials. The chute consists either of a semi-flexible telescopic pipe, or a series of downward-directed funnel segments, each interlocking with the segment above and below. One or more sections incorporates a baffle panel or deflection structure that slows the descent of building rubble to rob it of kinetic energy prior to reaching the bottom.</p> |
