A character figure display capable of displaying a smooth, thick character or figure on a display device which can display a character or a figure. The character figure display comprises a display device (103) and a control unit (102) for controlling the display device. Each pixel includes sub-pixels arrayed in a first direction. The control unit (102) controls the color elements corresponding to the sub-pixels independently to display a character or figure on the display device. The control unit (102) sets the color element levels of a second sub-pixel group adjacent to one sub-pixel of a skeleton sub-pixel group and including one or more sub-pixels arranged in a second direction perpendicular to the first direction according to the color element levels of one or more sub-pixels of a first sub-pixel group.
