<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radical inhibitor, which is used to prevent the deterioration of the quality of a composition caused by radical formation, to provide a process of inhibiting radical formation using the above inhibitor and also to provide a composition being inhibited in radical formation. <P>SOLUTION: The process of inhibiting radical formation comprises developing a radical inhibitor containing a sugar derivative of α,α-trehalose as an effective component and mixing the above inhibitor into a composition.
