PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an external facing material capable of easily carrying out construction work even if it is applied to a roof with a steep slope by having functions such as waterproofing, thermal insulation and condensation prevention, etc. SOLUTION: The external facing material comprises a surface material C consisting of a female type interconnecting section 18 forming a waterproof piece 13, a fitting piece 14, an upper piece 15 and a cut-off piece 17, etc. in the front end of a water surface side of a facing 4 and a male type interconnecting section 12 forming an uneven step facing 6, the deepest piece 8 and an insertion piece 9 in the front end of a water bottom side of the facing 4 and a fixture E formed of an interlocking groove 21 consisting of a fixed piece 19, an interlocking piece 20, a cut-off piece 17 and a fitting section 16 and a fitting groove 23 consisting of the fixed piece 19, a thrusting pressure piece 24, the interlocking piece 20 and the supporting piece 22, the fitting section 16 of the upper end section of the surface material C is inserted in the fitting groove 23 of the fixture E, at the same time, the fixed piece 19 of the fixture E is fixed by an anchorβto fix the upper end section of the surface material C, and the lower end section of the surface material C engages the insertion piece 9 with the interlocking groove 21 of the fixture E to obtain the fixed external facing A.
