SUPERCONDUCTING CABLE TERMINAL STRUCTURE

There is provided a superconducting cable terminal structure for outputting/inputting power via bushing between a normal temperature side and a low temperature side where a superconducting cable terminal is arranged. A coolant bath is provided at the low temperature side for cooling the bushing. The coolant bath has a liquid coolant region for containing a liquid coolant and a gas coolant region for containing a gas coolant. Moreover, the coolant bath includes a contraction absorbing unit for absorbing contraction of the coolant bath which is thermally contracted by the coolant. Thus, it is possible to suppress deterioration of the air tightness of a seal member arranged at the boundary between the normal temperature side and the low temperature side for a long period of use.
