PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent an apparatus from being mounted upside down in relation to an apparatus mounting device of a air purifier, an ion generator, a lighting apparatus and the like. SOLUTION: This invention relates to a device mounting an apparatus 2 such as the air purifier, the ion generator, the lighting apparatus on a roughly U-shaped metal wall surface mounting plate 1. Tip part of a pair of side plates 3, 4 of the wall surface mounting plate 1 are formed in different shapes and a pair of positioning recess parts 5, 6 provided on a back surface of the apparatus and positioning the tip parts respectively are formed in different shapes to disable to mount the apparatus 2 upside down. As further explanation, a notch 7 is formed on only an upper side (or a lower side) near the tip part of one side plate 4 and width of one positioning recess part 6 provided on the back surface of the apparatus 2 is formed smaller than width of another positioning recess part 5 with corresponding that.
